The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 – August 11, featuring over 50 sports from Archery to Wrestling. Follow all the action on the official website: https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024.
The Olympic Movement’s goal is to “contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practiced without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.”
The 1968 Olympics in Mexico City were the first held in Latin America and led to Mexico hosting many sports competitions afterwards. Rio de Janeiro became the first South American city to host the Olympics in 2016.
